The Live Music Office is proud to announce the winner of the inaugural I LOVE LIVE MUSIC 60 second film competition.

“Live from Kingsbury Bowls” by filmmaker Sara Braithwaite took out the top prize with her film featuring the story of live music coming to a community bowls club. The film features a music performance by Liz Stringer.

A runner-up prize was awarded to Cesar Salmeron and Aaron Cuthbert for Encore, featuring music by Quincy McLean and Simon Bailey.

The completion was created to build awareness of the importance of live music to everyday life, the competition called on filmmakers, musicians and lovers of Australian film and music to submit a 60 second film covering the following topics.

  • Imagine life without live Australian music
  • What I love about live Australian music
  • What live Australian music means to me

The Office joined forces with the Australian Music Industry Office (AMIN) and St Kilda Film Festival (presented by City of Port Phillip) to present I LOVE LIVE MUSIC.
