Yarra City Council’s Room to Create program aims to support eligible artists and arts organisations by fostering more affordable creative spaces.

The Room to Create Fund has been set up by Council as a charitable fund account in partnership with the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. The fund will provide grants to Yarra’s artistic community for projects relating to creative infrastructure.

In 2013, Council has committed $100,000 to establish the Room to Create Fund. The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation has provided a further $100,000 to match Council’s commitment.

Council is seeking donations from the community to grow the fund, the annual interest will be used for grants.
