With the NSW Parliament returning in May 2019, there are now two current NSW Parliamentary Inquiries underway
for the music industry, the first into Sydney’s night time economy and the lockouts, the second into
the NSW Festival Regulations.
This is an opportunity for artists, venues, audiences and the community to provide personal experiences of the impacts
these laws have had on the Sydney CBD and greater city, the state of NSW, and beyond.

Liquor Amendment (Music Festivals) Regulation 2019 and Gaming and Liquor Administration Amendment (Music Festivals) Regulation 2019

Submissions close on Friday 5 July 2019.
Both of these inquiries are critical to the music industry and the electronic music sector in particular, therefore our participation in each is required.
Submissions can be made either through the website or sending to the committees by email. Its a simple process, that doesn’t need to be involved or technical.
This is an opportunity to inform policy making by telling the NSW Parliament;
- Who you are
- Why music is important to the night economy and the state of NSW
- What impacts these laws have, and are having
- Any thoughts on a better way for the future of Sydney and NSW
