In July Music Tasmania, the Live Music Office, and APRA AMCOS will be hosting a series of consultation forums to discuss the state of play for the music sector in Tasmania.

These forums will be presented by:

  • John Wardle – Policy Director, Live Music Office
  • Chris O’Neill – National Manager, Writer Services, APRA AMCOS
  • Laura Harper – Chief Executive Officer, Music Tasmania

Artists, venues, music industry agents and managers as well as Government policymakers are welcome to attend and participate by raising ideas about how the music sector can be better supported in Tasmania during these forums.

John Wardle from the Live Music Office will present a national overview across State, Territory and Local Government policy and strategic planning initiatives, as well as current research, advocacy and developments in regulation for live music.

People wishing to attend can come to either an afternoon or evening forum to suit their availability. There will also be an opportunity to contribute a written submission as part of the consultation process.
